MAKE IT AN EVENT TO REMEMBER:
In most churches, it is a proven fact that over half the congregation was invited as a first time
guest by a friend or family member. The following is a list of proven ways for your church members to get friends, relatives and people they work with into your church.
1) Encourage your church members to invite their friends and/or family. (This works well with
the bulletin inserts, #2).
2) Place a R.U. Ready Ministry/Hovie Walker bulletin insert in your church bulletin each week
(5)five weeks in advance of the event. Ask your people to give them to someone outside the
church. This way each one of your members reaches out to at least five people and makes it
easy for those who do not have outgoing personalities to invite others. (These may be
downloaded from this site or order them free from the RURM office).
3) Place information that you feel would be of interest to your members and visitors about
Hovie in your newsletter.
4) Encourage volunteers to place posters at your local grocery and retail stores as well as the
church. (These may be downloaded from this site).
5) Advertise an after service fellowship for your church and their special guests featuring
finger foods or a Pizza Bash for the youth. (A time to fellowship with each other and Hovie)
6) Announce the event from the church pulpit each service for at least five weeks and make it a
family event to reach your city and your loved ones to the Lord Jesus Christ!
REMEMBER…your congregation will
only be as EXCITED about this EVENT as you the pastor or sponsor
are!!
Promoted properly, family events and music can spark measurable growth in your church, some people of whom may never hear the Gospel of Christ any other way.
Family events are entertaining as well as an ideal way to encourage and motivate your church family to get involved.
